At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Flow Process Engineer based in West Jordan, Utah to support our Flow (Warehouse operations). In this role, you will lead effective actions to identify and improve Flow systems, tools, and equipment availability/reliability. You will analyze data and improve equipment reliability and efficiencies and overall be accountable for the operational performance of all equipment in the Flow Department including AGVs, Cooling Tunnels, Conveyors, Wrappers, ASRS. You will work with Supervisors, Leads and fellow PEs, engineering, and other stakeholders to drive improvements and coordinate with Maintenance Planner and Scheduler for PM execution and breakdown elimination. You will be the subject matter expert for the department regarding standard process tools and equipment. Additionally, you will deliver on SQCDMN daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals and objectives through individual efforts, while focusing on continuous improvement implementation, training, and sustainability.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Participate in DDS meetings, understand, and execute daily priorities/tasks impacting Flow equipment and tools.

  • Responsible for creation and update of Flow Department (SOP) Standard Operating Procedures and One Page Lessons (OPL)

  • Work with Maintenance to ensure priority PM's and Priority Work Orders are being executed.

  • Participate in Planning and Scheduling of Flow continuous improvement projects.

  • Provide Shift Supervisors and Leads support on technical issues in the department.

  • Identify, monitor, and resolve top technical issues in Flow- SME contact or phone support.

  • Lead/Facilitate Root Cause Problem Solving /RCPS on equipment technical failures.

  • Develop root cause analyses as needed, using 5-Why, Fishbone diagram, etc. to re-align operational performance with goals and objectives.

  • Work with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler on spare part inventory availability, and process reliability.

  • Establish equipment performance baselines and ongoing reduction in technical performance gaps from baseline.

  • Identify effective actions to improve system reliability.

  • AGVs, Cooling Tunnels, Conveyors, Wrappers, ASRS

  • Conduct PM reviews to identify defects.

  • Lead and participate on continuous improvement efforts, including but not limited to, PM management, 5S.

  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of all Company Standard programs related to Food Safety, Quality, Compliance, Employee Safety (ISO, AIB, WISE, HACCP) and other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure sound communication paths are in place so all Flow employees are aware and can participate in continuous improvement of the operation.

  • Enforce safety regulations (WISE) to ensure a safe working environment, while presenting a weekly updated safety punch list for the Business Area to the Distribution Manager/Director, Plant Director and Local Plant Safety Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in engineering, preferred. If no completed bachelor's degree, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and have 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse/shipping management within a manufacturing environment, required.

  • You have experience with Inventory Management and Inventory Control strongly preferred.

  • You have demonstrated ability to train warehouse staff.

  • You have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints and manage in a dynamic team environment.

  • You have the ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 Manufacturing Operations, may include working overtime, graveyard shift and/or weekends as needed.
