Flow Cytometry Scientist

Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with one of the leading healthcare facilities in Charlottesville, VA and we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Flow Cytometry Scientist to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting flow cytometry experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new methodologies. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of experimental results.

Sign on Bonus: $12,500

Responsibilities:

• Performs Patient and Quality Control (QC) testing, develops skills and maintains competency in routine and assigned laboratory areas.
• Maintains proper inventories and correctly uses supplies and reagents.
• Performs advanced equipment trouble-shooting and equipment maintenance.
• Ensures a smooth transition to the next shift.
• Participates in quality safety and compliance programs.
• Investigates documents and resolves problems or complaints.
• Serves as trainer and role model for Clinical Laboratory Scientist 1 staff and health care professional students.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 Years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and/or high complexity testing environment.

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology required with required licensure/certification and with equivalent experience.
• Associate degree in medical laboratory technology with required licensure/certification and with equivalent experience

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• ASCP or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Required

• $27.84-$44.54 Hourly

• 1st Shift
