Description

The ideal candidate will support research and clinical flow cytometry customers primarily in Arizona, Southern California, Oregon and Alaska. Any applicant must live within this territory, preferably near a major airport as this position requires extensive travel, up to 80% some weeks, often on short notice.

This position supports account managers and customers in both pre- and post-sales activities for both clinical and research flow cytometry reagents and hardware. Pre-sales activities include face-to-face meetings with customers, product demonstrations, workflow studies, designing flow panels and supporting scientific meetings and conferences. Post-sales activities include customer training, implementation of new instruments, and troubleshooting.

This position works closely with Sales, Field Service Engineers, and Technical Support to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate has experience working in collaborative scientific environments, frequently utilizing flow cytometry for research or diagnostic testing. Experience in designing and running panels for 10+ color flow cytometry and having a strong immunology background are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills both one-on one and for large audiences.

  • Flow cytometry experience, 2+ years, in research and/or clinical setting from panel design to acquisition to data analysis. Sorting experience is a plus but not required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related life science discipline required, Master's or PhD preferred

Your Opportunity The role of the Environmental Scientist is to perform tasks and project management assignments associated with environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, remediation, and monitoring projects; sampling of soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater; oversight of subcontractors; production of maps; data interpretation/evaluation and deliverable preparation.
