Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Regional Risk Manager is responsible for promoting and implementing Asbury Automotive Group's safety and risk control program within their specified region. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, the Regional Risk Manager partners with their stores and market teams to identify risks and develop long-term solutions to address those risks. In this highly visible role, the Regional Risk Manager will work to promote a safe work environment for all team members, ultimately building a culture around safety. The territory is comprised of approximately 24 retail automotive dealerships and collision centers in the Florida Market including the Jacksonville, Ft. Pierce, Orlando and Tampa surrounding areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Encourage regulatory compliance through constant education of market and store leadership teams.
Support and assist market and store leadership in the reduction of workplace injuries through the implementation of corporate driven directives.
Manage adherence to Asbury's environmental, health and safety program and actively participate in any inspections from Federal and State regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Identify risks and implement best practices for hazard mitigation/abatement through regularly scheduled on-site environmental, health, and safety inspections.
Conduct regulatory or safety classroom-style training to address the current needs of each dealership/collision center.
Actively promote and participate in store safety committee meetings.
Manage all Workers Compensation / Texas Non-Subscription claims for the region. Including:
Act as a liaison between store leadership and adjusters.
Ensure streamlined communication among all parties.
Conduct monthly/quarterly claim reviews monitoring adherence to our return to work policy and managing our third party adjusters.
Work with Asbury's National Asset Protection Manager to assist in gathering information related to theft, vandalism, etc. as needed.
Ability and willingness to maintain minimum 50% overnight travel schedule.
Familiarity with Risk Management Information Systems and ability to conduct data analysis.
Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and Workers' Compensation claims management process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present complex data in lay terms.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence change and "sell" safety.
Ability to prioritize competing projects.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
