Description and Qualifications

The primary job duties of the Floral Assistant would be to assist the floral team with the organization, delivery, set-up, breakdown, and clean-up of all arrangements and displays. The Floral Assistant will also tour the property daily to check all floral. Remove dead flowers, check water and assist floral team in ensuring arrangements are lasting to their full potential. This position would not include any designing of arrangements.

Hours for this position would be weekdays and weekends 8:00 am-4:30 pm based on needs, including holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Will assist in cleaning and maintaining the floral bay.

• Distributing and maintaining floral arrangements throughout the property

• Finding and cutting foliage on the property and processing new flowers when they arrive

• Assisting the Floral team in event set-up and breakdown

• Exceptional customer service skills, Friendly, positive attitude

• Maintains high-quality standards in product presentation

• Proven success as a team member, and demonstrates an exceptional work ethic

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of flowers, colors and textures, is preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must be able to communicate with all staff and guests of the hotel

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic mathematical skills

REASONING ABILITY

• Needs problem-solving skills, attention to detail

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds, must be active or able to endure physical elements

• Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to work outside regardless of weather conditions
• 4,200 acres of Blackberry Farm property
