Floor Technician

Job Description

FT / 2p-10:30p

According to established procedures, cleans and services hospital areas. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital departments; and performs a variety of hospital duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. This position is also responsible for ensuring clean, orderly and attractive floor conditions in the hospital.

Education REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience REQUIRED: Must be able to work well with others.

Verbal and written communications skills are required. Is expected to project a professional attitude in appearance and conduct. Is expected to attend work as scheduled.

Must comply with the Hospital's Code of Conduct. Must be able to stand and walk for long hours and have the mobility and strength to move quickly, stoop, and/or bend repeatedly. Must have dexterity of hands, eyes, and mind to perform assigned tasks. Must have the ability to remain calm under stress.

Experience PREFERRED: Operating floor equipment such as side by side, scrubber, burnisher.
