The Floor Tech employee is the face of the gym floor; you are the person a member sees when he or she is working out inside the facility. It is important that this person has a friendly demeanor with great eye for detail. The Floor Tech employee is responsible for the overall upkeep of the fitness floor, equipment, and surrounding areas, walls & mirrors.

Requirements

A positive upbeat personality. Effective ability to communicate with customers, coworkers and managers.

Environment

Working environment is inside the Retro Fitness Outlet. Working hours could vary and include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities of Floor Tech

Cleaning and maintenance of Retro Fitness outlet main floor. Testing equipment for efficiency.

Stocking of products/items. Lubricating and greasing of circuit training equipment. Reporting any facility issues to Management/Ownership.

Spot cleaning of walls, mirrors, windows, & diamond plating. Re-racking of weights. Disinfecting equipment and upholstery.

Facility Dusting. Following company policies & procedures.

All Floor Tech employees are to wear company staff shirt along with either Khaki pants or black athletic pants. Sneakers must always be worn.

No boots, heals, or open toe shoes or sandals. Floor Techs should always be well groomed and neat. Floor Techs are required to complete the Daily Cleaning Checklist and have a Manager sign off before completing their shift.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties * Plan, configure, install, troubleshoot, repair, and provide end-user support for Audio Visual and Audio-Visual control systems; including peripherals, PC's, speakers, LCD displays, amplifiers, RF equipment, Ethernet hardware, IPTV systems, cabling systems, control system hardware and AV related software * Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot state-of-the-art television and audio systems * Maintain and track AV equipment inventory and assets across multiple properties * Maintain and assist in all back-of-house A/V including conference rooms and training rooms * Assist and advise in special event systems support, entertainment systems, back of house AV systems, as well as marketing and media systems * This is a non-uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with non-uniformed appearance standards while on duty * Maintain knowledge of developing technologies by reading professional literature and attendance at relevant training sessions, conferences and workshops * Work flexible hours including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays * Ensuring the safety and security of all guests, entertainers and team members/employees * Other duties as assigned Qualifications Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities) * Must have strong project management and time management skills * Ability to assume responsibility for independent/self-directed action * Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment * Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team * Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments * Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays and must be able to participate in the on-call rotation program * Experience in audio / video setup and maintenance * Knowledge of signal flow for audio and video * Ability to install new and maintain existing hardware * Strong guest service skills * Communicate effectively and efficiently * Advanced knowledge of Audio Visual and AV control systems including IPTV Systems. * Experience with Q-Sys, Four Winds, ETC lighting, Crestron, Analog Way is preferred. Educational Requirements * Technical degree or certification preferred * Minimum of 4 years' experience in Hotel, Event Center, or other operational Audio/Visual fields. * Supervisory or project management experience required. * Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license. Physical Requirements * Must be able to lift and/or push up to 80 lbs. * Must be able to work standing for up to 4 hours at a time * Must be able to work in small, confined areas * Must be able to bend at the waist * Able to work from a ladder at 8 and 12 feet * Must be able to reach above the head * Excellent technical, problem solving, interpersonal, oral & written communication skills.
