The Floor Planning Analyst will be for our San Antonio, TX office and will be part of our Floor Planning team. Will be responsible for managing all floor plans for assigned categories or store groups, including New and Remodel stores, using JDA Floor Planning Software. This role will lead the effort in defining and developing various reporting and analytical tools that provide foundation analytics used in space optimization at the micro and macro level. This Floor Planning Analyst is expected to serve as a go-to Floor Planning expert and will lead cross-functional projects for the department.
Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Floor plan Development/Management:
Executes quality control measures for all floor plans, ensuring accuracy of store/pog assignments, compliance with merchandise adjacency criteria and/or corporate standards; emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mindset
Accountable for data integrity of all planogram assignments to ensure accurate fixture quantification.
Utilizes all appropriate tools and levers to maximize space productivity, minimize unproductive inventories and ensure that financial targets are met; actively identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to optimize space productivity
Challenge the status quo -- must be analytically inclined and have a passion for finding those causal factors that can constrain performance and profits. Is able to drive for and deliver process improvements.
Effectively understand the technical aspects of the JDA Intactix Suite. Should be comfortable with the structured logical thinking required to write formulas to assist teams with report creation and generation
Work effectively with a cross-functional team.
Works cross-functionally to gain alignment on merchandise plans for new/remodel stores in accordance to strategic objectives while achieving the highest possible profitability.
Design and develop enhanced planogram and floor plan reports.
Create, Edit, Maintain and execute Space Automation scripts to streamline application tasks for end users
Support, develop and maintain layouts, highlights, tables, reports, fixtures, Business Rule Validations, Quality Check scripts, configuration settings, data mapping documentation and file structures associated with the applications.
Work in conjunction with the Space Management group to ensure all POGs/Displays are appropriately placed on the floorplans and correct pogs assigned in accordance with the annual reset schedule
Using creativity, analytical and project management skills, plan, develop and determine appropriate course of action for all floor plan layout projects
Partner with appropriate members of the category management team to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach is taken towards the business strategies and/or imperatives.
Exceptional analytical skills and diligent about taking action based on findings - must possess analytical and financial literacy aimed at ensuring our business intentions generate sustainable returns on investment.
While there are no direct reports, the Floor Planning Analyst will serve as a lead in interviewing, hiring and training new partners. General guidance of day to day assignments is provided to the Floor Planners. Coordinate the efforts of others in such departments as Merchandising, Store Design, MP&I and Field Operations in order to ensure the timely delivery of all floor plan projects.
The majority of duties are performed while seated indoors at a computer, but occasional travel may be required to assist the team with live sets. Additional travel may be required to the NSC for training and support of the Space Planning team.
High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
Solid understanding of merchandising principles and retail operations are necessary.
Product knowledge, understanding of inventory principles, interpersonal, analytical and project management skills are required.
1 - 3 years of experience as a Space Management Planner or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience using JDA Space Planning or other space management software required
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, exercise patience and diplomacy in all situations is necessary.
Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills as well as strong creative merchandising skills required.
