Howard Bank is seeking a Full Time Relationship Banker III for our Canton Branch! Our Relationship Banker III will be responsible for the following:

  • Works on assignments that are extremely complex and specialized in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations

  • May be asked to lead branch team in absence if Branch Manager ensuring high quality customer experience

  • Accepts and accurately processes all financial transactions

  • Maintains responsibility for cash drawer and follows proper balancing procedures when needed

  • Provides excellent customer service by providing answers and assistance for customers' questions and concerns

  • Opens and processes all types of deposit and loan accounts including complex retail products such as consumer and business checking, consumer loans, Credit Cards and other solutions that meet the customers' financial needs profile. Cross-sells other bank services and refers customers to other departments; Treasury Management, Merchant Services, SBA, Small Business Banking etc., as appropriate

  • Expected to proactively be involved in the growth activity of the branch

  • Reviews and maintains knowledge of products, fees and policies to stay current on offerings for product suggestion

  • Comply with all Federal, State, and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act and SAFE Act registration and renewal rules as defined by the bank, if applicable

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and keeps up to date on regulation changes

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual compliance training

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and facilitate courses as subject matter expert

  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Howard Bank "Hands On" Approach

  • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate

Our Relationship Banker III will meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

  • Minimum of 5-7 years; banking experience, knowledge and training in bank product sales and branch operations

  • Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations

  • Highly motivated, sales and service driven

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively

  • Effective problem solving and decision making ability

  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Team player with an energetic, positive attitude

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • PC proficient

Essential Functions: 1. Developing relationships with fleet drivers to support driver retention efforts. 2. Reviews driver's daily schedule to ensure they are DOT compliant and adhere to their Hours of Service as it applies to the driver's positional home time. 3. Ensure proper estimated time of arrivals through effective communication between driver and customer service. 5. Communicate effectively across multiple departments to assure operational goals are being met daily. 7. Trains with other related departments as necessary according to company needs; participates in companywide training opportunities to improve self-learning and works to maintain mutual respect and professionalism with co-workers and management to sustain a positive team environment. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned. Necessary Qualifications: Experience in transportation, computer systems, satellite systems and innovative software experience all beneficial. Problem solving and good communication skills desirable. Physical Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Long periods of sitting and use of telephone and satellite systems required.
