Float RN - Hospice

Job Summary:# This individual would be trained and proficient in all nursing areas of Gaston Hospice including but not limited to hospice consults, admissions# and services for inpatient hospice appropriate patients in any of the contracted hospitals in the Gaston Hospice service area.# This person would also provide hospice nursing services in the home/facility environment when needed.# The role also includes education and collegial relationship building with MD#s, facilities, nursing staff and the community.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.# Have current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of NC.# A minimum of one year of recent clinical experience.# Hospice nurse experience preferred. Utilizes good clinical judgment and skill in nursing management of clients with a terminal illness and having end-of-life needs.# Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, flexibility and the ability to# function independently.# Must maintain BCLS certification.# Has valid driver#s license, car insurance and reliable transportation to facilitate visits to homes.# Intermediate computer skills required.
