Minnesota Oncology has an exciting opportunity for a

Full-Time Float Admixture Technician (0.8 FTE)

Practice-Wide Float

(Burnsville, Chaska, Coon Rapids, Edina,

Fridley, Maplewood, Minneapolis, Plymouth, St. Paul,

Waconia, and Woodbury)

Minnesota Oncology will provide mileage reimbursement and a float differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of IV medication orders

  • Ensuring all orders are complete

  • Verification of patient information and physician authorization

  • Verification of insurance approvals

  • Accurate record keeping

  • Drug/Supply ordering

  • Inventory management

  • Serve as a Lynx resource for the practice

  • Assist in training other technicians if requested

  • Other duties as requested or assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy calculations, and related medical technology

  • Graduation from VoTech Pharmacy Technician Program desired but not required

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Certificate Preferred (If not certified at hiring, certification with the first year of employment will be required)

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience and IV compounding experience preferred, but not required.

Identify and tag obsolete equipment and process for destruction. * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Associates degree in electronics or related field or a combination of education and experience to equal two years in an electronic related field. * Six months experience in repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, such as PC applications. * Complete a minimum skills test administered by the department, to identify individual proficiency. * The ability to communicate technical information and ideas in spoken English so others will understand. * Valid driver's license may be required with a good driving record. * Industrial Truck Driving permit may be required (forklift).
