Bell Helicopter is seeking a Flight Test Dynamics Engineer. This position is located at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland and supports the Bell Helicopter MV-22 Osprey flight test program. Data analysis includes spectral, harmonic, and time history analysis of airframe and drive system for determining airframe, avionics, engine, and drive train loads and vibration.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare test plans

  • Supporting flight tests

  • Analyzing flight test data

  • Prepare test data summaries and reports.

  • Represent the Bell Helicopter Structural Dynamics group in pre and post flight test meetings, telemetry room monitoring, instrumentation review, and data analysis.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is required.

  • Masters Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Position Requirements:

  • Opportunities are available in multiple labor grades based on proficiency and experience.

  • 5 years of specific experience in structural dynamics is preferred. Experience with helicopters and flight testing is strongly preferred.

  • The position requires understanding of instrumentation and vibration test equipment.

  • A dynamics background from course studies or work experience is required.

  • Position requires 5% to 10% travel as needed.

  • The selected applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security classification.

  • Must have the availability to work overtime as required in Flight Test environment.

  • The position requires excellent organizational, technical, verbal and written communication skills.

The Cybersecurity Test Engineer will support the development, testing and presentation of Cybersecurity systems and there application. The effort will require security and functional testing in the unclassified and classified DevOps environments to include test planning, automated test development, and documentation. Responsibilities: Analyzes system requirements, concept of operations documents, and other systems engineering documents to develop test and evaluation plans and procedures. Prepares for and conducts the test and evaluations, and creates the test results in formal test reports Leads or participates in all DT, OT, CTT, and Penetration Test and Evaluations events Creates and maintains Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance areas Review T&E-related system engineering information to leverage functional analysis, system descriptions, parameter selection and dependencies, Modeling and Simulation, and initial performance risk assessments to inform evaluation planning Produce Evaluation Plans (metric framework, scenarios/threads, timelines, requirements/T&E cross-walk), Analysis Plans, Data Requirements, Risk Assessments, Evaluation Reports, Status reports; provide input to Government T&E products (e.g., Technology Readiness Assessments, Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, T&E Plans & Procedures and Test Readiness Reports) Requirements: Experience supporting Government application testing.
