Job Description:

Exciting opportunity to support the United States Air Force Air Education and Training Command flying operations. We are looking for well-qualified Squadron Training Administrators at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Texas; Columbus AFB in Columbus Mississippi; Laughlin AFB, in Del Rio, Texas; Vance AFB in Enid, Oklahoma; Little Rock AFB in Little Rock, Arkansas; Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson; Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas; Altus AFB in Altus, Oklahoma; NAS Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida; Ft Rucker in Alabama; and the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.

Typical duties include:

  • Establish and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other materials IAW USAF Records Management standards as defined in AFMAN 33-363 (Chap 1-7), Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322 (Chap 1-7), AFI 33-332 associated AETC/Installation supplements, and locally-developed guidance.

  • Provide quarterly inputs to Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) database or equivalent in accordance with local procedures. Complete MICT communicators applicable to programs they are assigned, identify deficiencies, create, and administer Corrective Action Plans using fact-finding and problem analysis.

  • Ensure permanent, associate and attached aircrew are loaded into appropriate MS; set up locally required theater indoctrination/syllabuses/requalification templates/gradebooks in Management Systems (MS) when required and review training documents to ensure compliance with 11-MDS-V1 and supplemental guidance (Note 1), AFI 11-290 Crew Resource Management, AFI 11-202V1, supplements, and locally developed syllabus/program. Prepare training folders for closeout by Training Officer or designated official IAW syllabus, AETCI 36-2605 V1.

  • Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) personnel or Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) personnel, if available, to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) or equivalent systems as needed.

  • Provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the Training Officer, Operations Supervisor or equivalent as well as weekly summaries for the DO.

  • Consolidate, maintain, and publish a schedule of training events and classes using locally established norms.

  • Coordinate with appropriate scheduling authorities to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for ground or ancillary training.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a DoD operational flying unit (active duty, guard/reserve, contractor or civilian)

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work on the following systems/programs: 1) Computer based training and integrated management system (TIMS, GTIMS, PEX, X-plan) and 2) SharePoint websites and communities of practice

  • Be able to pass a favorable background check

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances in a medium- to high-stress environment

  • Possess knowledge of organizational and functional responsibilities, as well as the organizational relationships of a military flying unit

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access

Analyze and maintain site-specific configuration documentation, including installation guides for images and applications, configuration guides for servers and workstations, such as physical or virtual, step-by-step work breakdown structure for tasks performed, artifacts for the development of the required certification and accreditation package, quality assurance of compliance posture, compliance with licensing agreements. Use a Navy-designated service management system to record and track all work performed, record detailed and qualified resolutions in the system, and comply with the change request process to ensure changes to the enterprise are in accordance with configuration management (CM) process. Manage Electronic Classroom (ECR) site preparation surveys and ECR site installations to address future training delivery infrastructure and new or modified ECR requirements.
