Will serve as an Aerosonde crewmember in support of sustainment operations. Duties will include primarily operating as an Aerosonde acceptance test operator and electrical test specialist supporting Aerosonde production. Additional duties will include emplacement / displacement / inspection / disposition / repair and replenishment of associated equipment as well as proper notation of logbooks, flight records, and COLTS.
Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for operator and maintenance related issues. Participate in site surveys and demos for customers.
Provide technical and operational expertise for training device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization. Interface with hardware, software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support product improvement.
Operational support of Aerosonde SUAS
Perform as aircraft operator, sensor operator, engine mechanic, composite technician, and/or maintainer / crew chief
Travel and deploy worldwide as required
Direct interface with customer
Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision
Will be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours
Responsible for data management and generation
Provides general logistics functions
Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and determines technical solutions
Preferred candidate will have: Bachelor's Degree with 3 years related experience or an Associate's Degree with 5 years related experience or High School/equivalent with 7 years of related experience
Minimum requirement is that the candidate holds at least one of the following certifications:
Candidate must be able to safely and effectively perform the duties of an aircraft operator, sensor operator, and maintainer without supervision, including flight and ground equipment setup/maintenance as well as logs and records. Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, and other aspects of flight operations. FAA licenses or certificates such as private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument rating, CFI, CFI-I, A&P are highly desirable.
Basic computer skills are required; computer networking experience is desired.
Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing, and possess strong leadership skills.
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems a plus.
Prior military service a desired plus.
Must be deployable to various OCONUS locations.
Relocation to VA required.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
