Label Press Operator

WestRock in Lansing, MI is looking for a Flexo Press Operator for our 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm). This position starts pays based on experience with a $2.00/hour shift differential.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for the efficient set-up, operation and maintenance of multicolor flexographic printing press to produce high quality printed components for the pharmaceutical packaging industry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Conducts make-ready by installing anilox rollers, plates, inks and dies into the proper stations, making the necessary adjustments for optimal print quality.

• Ensures all materials meet the requirements of customer specifications.

• Uses good ink management to ensure color match is met and maintained throughout run.

• Follows established standard operating procedures.

• Conducts Line Clearance.

• Pulls QC retains for approval.

• Completes all required documentation.

• Responsible for material handling and product segregation.

• Performs preventative maintenance and housekeeping of work stations.

• Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be flexible and willing to work overtime.

• Must be able to manage time effectively.

• Must be able to problem solve effectively.

• Must have basic computer skills or be trainable.

• Must have good mathematical skills.

• Must have good written and communications skills.

• Must be attentive to detail.

• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
