Qualifications for employment

  • Minimum one-year work experience.

  • Certificate of at least 75 hours of Certified Nursing Assistant training or 40 hour certificate of Home Health Aide training.

  • Current CNA license OR HHA certification listed in good standing with the board.

  • Compliant with Bayada policy needed for home care.

  • Completion of competence demonstration, as performed in clinical CNA/HHA courses.

Job Responsibilities for our Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides:

  • Activities of daily living

  • Light housekeeping

  • Bathing

  • Dressing

  • Grooming

  • Toileting

  • Nail care

  • Range of motion / exercises

  • Transfers /use of mechanical lifting devices

  • Oral feeding

  • Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration

  • Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.

  • Assisting with ambulation

  • Medication assistance

Occ Summary Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct care of patients under the direct supervision of an RN/L PN. Perform a variety of clerical duties involved in preparing, maintaining, and processing patient, unit (s), and hospital data and records to inc lude operating the organization's patient care information systems. Work Performed Administer treatment and personal care procedures to patients including, but not limited to, feeding, bathing, shaving changing clothing, cleaning and trimming fingernails, bed-making, assisting with ambulation, enemas, skincare, and bowel and bladder elimination; provide such additional care as required to meet the personal needs and comfort of assigned patients.
