The Job:

As a Fleet Training Manager you make a difference by assisting newly licensed CDL drivers complete Phase 2 and 3 of our Safety and Job Skills Training Program (SJSTP).

During Phase 2 new drivers will be in the truck with a Certified Driver Trainer for 26 days. During this Phase you are verifying and validating that the training modules are being followed and that the new driver is effectively applying the training to the job.

During Phase 3 new drivers will run solo. During this Phase you are mentoring your drivers and ensuring that they have synthesized their learning and are able to manage their work on their own.

You will validate that they are able to effectively plan their trips, manage their hours of service, operate their equipment safely, and use the onboard technology effectively. Once your driver has met our training expectations, you promote them to our mainstream fleet.

You create Driver Success by:

  • Seeing your drivers as unique and special individuals who are separate from the equipment that they operate

  • Meeting their personal needs by using the Key Principles in your interactions

  • Meeting their practical needs by helping them earn a good income, setting expectations, teaching, providing feedback, coaching and other developmental leadership

  • Respecting their time by making sure their time at work is effectively utilized every day

The Experience:

This is an intermediate level position that requires proven leadership experience. No transportation experience is necessary.

The Schedule:

As a Fleet Manager you will work Monday - Friday. Your workday starts at 7:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.

Role and Responsibilities Overview of the Training Manager Role: Develop and administer training programs for external customers and internal employees. Ensure current training portfolio exceeds quality expectations of all stakeholders. Monitor industry trends to assess requirements for new curriculum development. Assess training and development needs for specific organizations to develop and implement customized training solutions. Collect and analyze student feedback for continual course improvements. Training Manager Job Duties: * Maintain training portfolios to ensure customer acceptable quality standards. * Coordinate and schedule training resources, including instructors and lab systems, to deliver both internal and external training. * Conduct training via formats as requested by the customer to include web-based seminars, instructor led training, and recorded eLearning. * Develop new training courses to support new products and services sold and deployed by the various Samsung customer account teams. * Develop and maintain the necessary training materials such as student guides, training presentations, student exercises, and learning videos. * Maintain training delivery statistics for reporting both internally to the Samsung customer account teams as well as externally directly with the customer, as needed. * Determine training needs and requirements for customers by meeting with managers, and talking with employees. * Develop and administer end of course evaluation surveys to capture feedback on course material, instructors, and learning effectiveness. * Review existing training materials produced by third parties to determine applicability and acceptance. * Present in-person and online training sessions. * Manage instructor and developer staff. * Screen and hire qualified trainers skilled in RAN, Core, FEMTO, etc. * Meet regularly with external customer training coordinators and managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments. * Manage costs for all programs, productions, and publications in order to report to organization executives regarding a return on investment * Specialize in a particular industry and keeps current on the activities and needs of that industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars. * Remain current with all new educational and training techniques and methodologies.
