Responsible for implementing fleet processes, practices and procedures to ensure standardized best practices in outage including standards for in-house Entergy vs. contract task allocation. Directly supervise all preparation and execution activities for outage work scopes at all Entergy nuclear locations.
Develop Governance for, and implement standard scheduling processes. This would include standardized coding to support fleet reports, and scheduling methodologies consistent with industry best practices
Develop and implement both formal and informal training for site schedulers, both online and outage, to ensure quality schedules are developed, and maintained for online and outage projects
Develop and implement schedule tools and auditing reports to assist with ensuring schedules have sufficient granularity, and quality
Participate in Site T-3 assessments, mostly with respect to auditing schedule fidelity and quality
Develop and Lead the Lead Scheduler Peer Team
Ensure that forced outage schedules are published, accurate, and reflect currently scoped work.
Ensure online and outage PI's accurately reflect site performance.
Work with the Online CFAM, FOM, Sr. Mgr Long Range Planning, and Director of Outage Services on schedule LL, and ensure Entergy Scheduling practices are at industry best practices.
Ensure Capital Projects and other Major Projects schedules are seamlessly integrated into site outage schedules.
Work with Site Lead Outage Schedulers and online schedulers to ensure resources are consistently coded into schedules, and histograms are accurate.
Work with Lead Outage Schedulers to ensure the Rev0 schedule is executable, with respect to logic and historical norms.
Incorporate the use of standardized fleet milestones, such as the PWR micro gaps, BWROG microgaps, risk change identification, and other industry standard good practices.
Establish and implement governance for "rebaselining" schedules.
Minimum education required of the position
BS Degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or Equivalent Experience. (Equivalent Experience is defined as 5 years of experience in a responsible managerial position in an operating nuclear power plant environment. A degree is very strongly preferred.)
Minimum experience required of the position
10 years experience in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, operations, radiation protection, chemistry, production, or equivalent.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in Turbine Maintenance. Technical proficiency in outage planning and scheduling. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR.
