What you'll be doing...

This position is responsible for providing support and caring for day-to-day lifecycle activities associated with the acquisition and maintenance of vehicles and data consistent with Verizon policy and philosophy. This position will work with several key suppliers including equipment up-fitters, repair providers, third-party fleet-management contractors as well as key points-of-contact in field operations across the CONTUS. The position will manage various administrative and analytical tasks required to support our Affiliate fleet which consists of up to eight thousandunits (primarily light and medium-duty, but including Class 7/8 vehicles, specialty equipment, trailers, etc.) that may require collaboration with other Verizon teams to maintain specialty integrated equipment.

Other areas of responsibility either individually or through coordination of internal subject-matter experts include:

  • Monitor various correspondence mail and/or email and phone inquiries.

  • Manage Registrations, titles, license plates, MSO pre-requisites for shipping of vehicles.

  • Create and Distribute various Fleet operating reports to address any discrepancies and/or actionable items for the following, but not limited to:

  • Violation and/or Accident Reports, Recall Alerts, Inventory Reconciliation (monthly)

  • Assist with Fuel and Maintenance Card Programs.

  • Communication with Internal Business Partners and External Vendors.

  • Assist with Acquisition and Disposition of company vehicles and equipment.

  • Manage, update, and maintain data in various systems associated with our Fleet vehicles.

  • Adherence to Verizon policies and procedures.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • Experience with administrative functions and tasks

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with automotive fleet management.

  • Knowledge of the DOT regulations.

  • Automotive maintenance and repair experience.

  • Experience in both a "managed fleet" and in-house or captive fleet settings.

  • Experience in G-Suite and Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-11T00:00 Overview The Associate Director of Network Operations (ADNO) leads the Eastern Territory's efforts in the design, development and deployment of all LAN and WAN infrastructure and components. This includes Azure Cloud Services, all on-prem and cloud-based Microsoft environments, the WAN infrastructure including Cisco and Meraki components and the IT elements of the territorial Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology and is based at our Eastern Territorial Headquarters in West Nyack, NY. Responsibilities The ADNO is responsible for ensuring compliance with established IT security standards and interacts effectively with key IT staff on common projects and goals, including data management, data integration, service and support, user experience and DevOps. Additionally, the ADNO is responsible for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of the territorial IT architecture as follows: * Manages the Network Operations team in the design, development and deployment of systems including Windows on-prem and cloud-based physical and virtual servers, SAN, UPS backup systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, internet filtering, intrusion protection, anti-virus, firewalls, routers and switches, event monitoring and mail. Ensures that the design, development and deployment of all Network Operations components facilitate and maintain compliance with all Territorial and International policies and other relevant audit and regulatory requirements. * Regularly interacts with and provides support for the DevOps, Data Management, Service and Support, and User Experience leaders to contribute to the accomplishment of department strategic objectives and ensure emerging issues involving the Network Operations team are promptly addressed. * Recruits, hires, evaluates staff, maintains job descriptions and development plans that reflect SA needs, technology trends and advancements. Effectively manages Network Operations team, holding staff accountable for high standards of results-based performance. * Serves as a member of the Technology Advisory Group, the IT Steering Committee, the Change Advisory Group, and on other committees as appointed by the Chief Secretary. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred. * 10+ years of related experience. * Experience in VMware and SAN, Azure Cloud Services, Microsoft networking and Cisco firewalls preferred. * Exceptional working knowledge of network administration and related peripherals in an Active Directory environment as well as Cisco switches and firewalls. * Ability to manage and develop a team.
