JOB SUMMARY:
This position is a key member of the Operations organization and is responsible for all areas of fleet management. The Fleet Manager will be based at one of our locations in Anaheim, CA or Phoenix, AZ and will be the primary driver of fleet performance, improvement efforts, issue resolution, risk mitigation, cost management and on-going continuous improvement. As a constant source of dynamic data and trends for fleet information and industry practices, this position will work very closely with key stakeholders in the organization to provide valuable input for decisions and supports the development strategies to move the organization forward concerning fleet capability.
Responsibilities
Procure vehicles, whether through lease, purchase, or other means, according to company requirements
Register, obtain licenses, and insure the company's vehicles
Partner with reputable repair and maintenance shops in favorable locations
Oversee and schedule vehicle inspection, maintenance, and servicing to minimize downtime
Maintain all vehicle information and inspection records in internal and external databases
Manage fleet policies and ensure compliance
Securely store driver records
Reduce unnecessary expenses and increase fuel efficiency
Secure the fleet's compliance with applicable regulations
Guarantee excellent internal customer service
Analyze fleet performance data and improve accordingly
Report fleet performance and finances to upper management
Qualifications
One of the following:
Degree in logistics/accounting with two plus (2+) years' experience in logistics, transportation industries, or similar role
Four plus (4+) years' experience in logistics, transportation industries, or similar role with at least one plus (1+) year in a supervisory role
Military Service as USMC MOS 3537, Truckmaster, or equivalent.
Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills
Analytical mindset, multi-tasker and problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
