Fleet Assistant (COG-2019-683)


Midland (MID)

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in preventative maintenance and upkeep of pool, department and spare vehicles

  • Traveling daily to locations to check on fleet vehicles

  • Maintaining vehicles including jump-starting batteries, checking tire level, and fueling vehicles as needed

  • Driving fleet vehicles to and from locations as needed

  • Entering data daily accurately and consistently

  • Maintaining accurate records of COG vehicles, drivers and field offices utilizing Fleet Management Software and Telematics systems

  • Assisting in reviewing, coding, and facilitating payment of monthly vehicle invoices

  • Providing back-up for vehicle maintenance approvals

  • Assisting with New Hire Orientation and vehicle assignment

  • Assisting with the disposition of vehicles removed from service

  • Working closely with Operations Personnel on vehicle questions and concerns

  • Working closely with Safety, Vendors, Service Managers, and Security as needed with regards to vehicles

  • Attending field safety meetings and vehicle meetings as needed

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program required

  • 0 - 2 years of administrative experience preferred

  • Administration, procurement or fleet management/maintenance experience preferred

Skills / Attributes Desired:

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately

  • Previous work experience and demonstrated proficiency of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work as a team player with the willingness to handle assigned tasks, whether simple or complex

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced organization and multi-task

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Travel requirements can include: Local travel up to 50% of any working day and overnight travel up to 10%

VIEW JOBS 10/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-13T00:00 Job Description Job Summary: Fleet Telematics Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for the Company's fleet telematics system to insure maximum value, program effectiveness and integrity. Manages day-to-day fleet telematics programs, device connectivity and reporting. Acts as the primary liaison between OEM, suppliers and Company Fleet Management insuring function, quality and reliability. Job Duties: * Maintain an enterprise GPS system that supports operational and safety goals * Assist with vendor invoice validation of GPS units * Responsible for maintaining vendor relationship; manage support cases * Monitor account access and train front-line personnel on GPS functionality; add/remove users as necessary * Perform technical troubleshooting of telematics system/device anomalies * Maintain geo-fences, asset locations and assignments for vehicles/equipment * Maintain custom reports for Pioneer and its subsidiaries, updating as necessary * Facilitate the installation and removal of a GPS unit on vehicles/equipment * Ensures proper fit for purpose vehicle selection * Coordinates requisitions, orders, scheduling, upfitting and delivery of work-ready vehicles, reports on progress of vehicle deliveries. * Enters and maintains data into various fleet management and or financial systems * Manages OEM bailment pool(s) and reassignment of available assets to meet immediate and forecasted needs. * Responsible for vehicle warranty administration and recovery. * Coordinates administration of manufacturer recalls * Performs other/additional duties and assigned by Supervisor. * Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent is required. * A minimum of 5 years of fleet administration or procurement related experience, 5-7 years of experience preferred. * Senior level requires the equivalent of a bachelor's degree with minimum 9 years of business analytics or closely related experience and 2 years of fleet support background. * At least 2 years of servicing and supporting fleet telematics preferred. * Ability to multitask and prioritize. * Able to escalate to other Subject Matter Experts as needed. * On track for Technical Expertise. * Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
