Fidelity's Fixed Income Division is one of the country's leading fixed income managers with over $1 trillion in fixed income assets managed by a staff of roughly 200 investment professionals. At Fidelity, we combine fundamental research on domestic and international debt issuers with macroeconomic and quantitative analysis to develop investment decisions. Our goal is to leverage our financial expertise to help people live the lives they want. The Fixed Income Division is headquartered in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
The Fixed Income research associate program is designed to recruit talented, hardworking undergraduates to support Fidelity's bond and money market investment process and train them with the foundational skills to launch successful careers in finance and investing.
As an associate, you will be assigned to a role on a research team focused on one of the following areas: municipal, financial, industrial or macro research. You will be trained to analyze the credit quality of individual issuers, as well as the structural features of securities in the bond and money markets. You will work closely with experienced analysts to learn how to build financial models and develop credit opinions and investment recommendations. In close collaboration with those senior analysts, you will also participate in meetings with bond issuers, credit rating agencies, sell-side research analysts, investment bankers and other market participants. In order to prepare you for this role, you will participate in a formal training program and receive direct mentoring by senior analysts.
In this role you can expect to interact regularly with senior analysts, portfolio managers and traders and play an integral role in the Fidelity investment process. Our investment process is highly collaborative and the successful associate will contribute regularly and effectively to group activities.
Participation in this program may last up to four years. The associate experience provides an opportunity for you to build a rare skill set, which will position you for more senior roles within Fidelity, the asset management industry, or top graduate programs.
