We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Fixed Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the technical aspects of our program, with a specific focus on planning and coordinating FE inspection plans and repairs. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring our facility's compliance with regulatory requirements at all levels, company standards, relevant codes, and guidelines.

Our Team

The Brunswick Cellulose facility is the largest integrated fluff pulp mills in the country with a modern woodyard, fiberline, three paper machines, waste treatment plant, and utilities operations. The Brunswick Cellulose Mill, located in the southeast corner of Georgia is within minutes of downtown Brunswick and about an hour from Jacksonville, FL to the south and Savannah, GA to the north.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and support the site's fixed equipment program database to ensure compliance with inspections and repairs.

  • Manage fixed equipment inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance plans, including planning, scheduling, and technical aspects.

  • Develop work packages for routine and outage tasks, including inspection methods, damage mechanisms, acceptance criteria, cost and time estimates, and necessary requirements.

  • Coordinate and plan outages and contractor activities related to fixed equipment inspections and repairs.

  • Address fixed equipment deficiencies and implement temporary repairs while ensuring administrative controls are in place.

  • Maintain documentation and records related to fixed equipment inspections, repairs, and mechanical integrity activities.

  • Provide technical support to site teams for troubleshooting, problem-solving, cost estimation, and design solutions.

  • Communicate the site's fixed equipment program and any abnormal or critical risks to mill leadership.

  • Participate in the management of Covered Process Systems, including ITPM plan development and program training.

  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts to identify and address root causes of fixed equipment problems.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies to enhance production and fixed equipment uptime.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil, structural, or mechanical)

  • Maintenance and/or reliability experience in an industrial, manufacturing, chemical or oil and gas environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant codes, guidelines, and standards including Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of failure modes and damage mechanisms common to the pulp and paper industry

  • Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Certifications in API, AWS CWI, NBIC, or NDT

  • Experience with asset health databases or other inspection data management systems (IDMS)
