Cordia Resources is working with an exciting startup manufacturing company with a national footprint! They are searching for an Accounting Consultant to focus on Fixed Asset Accounting at a Management level for their manufacturing facility. Candidate will be responsible for:
- Manage the fixed asset acquisition, capitalization, and ongoing accounting process with opportunities to grow and expand responsibilities.
- Lead and develop 1-2 direct reports with effective coaching and guidance as necessary.
- Review fixed assets PO requests
- Partner with various business units including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Project Management to efficiently monitor work-in process sub-ledgers
- Review the monthly processing and recognition of fixed assets additions/disposals in accounting system.
- Manage the assignment of fixed asset tags to new assets.
- Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger vs. general ledger and prepare fixed assets roll-forward for the manufacturing Operations.
- Perform various fixed assets analyses (depreciation schedules and reviews)
- Assist with periodic Fixed Asset physical inventory count.
- Provide audit (internal/external) support (i.e. pull relevant fixed assets support and address various inquiries).
- Identify automation and streamlining opportunities.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- BS in Accounting or similar function
- 5+ years of experience in Fixed Assets accounting
- Recent (within the last 2 years) experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred
- CPA designation preferred, but not required
- Large ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or Workday preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel - Experience working with large volumes of data.
- Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
