Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Description Job Description Overview of the Fixed Asset Accountant role: Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviews all fixed asset activities to include depreciation and other movement journal entries Reconciles all fixed asset and accumulated depreciation general ledger accounts Processes all capitalized assets through the fixed asset system, Sage Maintains asset valuation in multiple depreciation books Takes responsibility for ASC 842 lease accounting compliance · Processes property tax payments and files necessary paperwork with each county · Tracks on-going capital projects for accuracy, budget adherence, and completion · Records transactions and tracks all activity for farm accounting · Records and posts journal entries for amortization · Assist in special projects as needed. Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Ability to prioritize work to meet strict deadlines. · Knowledge of general financial accounting. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software (D365 software) · Be self-motivated, team oriented and have a positive attitude Preferred Qualifications for the Fixed Asset Accountant: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related 3 years accounting experience 1 years fixed asset experience Must be proficient in Excel Company Description Valley Fresh Foods has provided local communities with the highest quality fresh eggs for over 70 years.
