About the positions: We prefer our staff to be Nationally Certified as a Fitness Trainer and Certified in Group Fitness Instruction. However, we are looking for the best fit and may hire one Certified Group Fitness Instructor to teach a variety of classes and one Certified Fitness trainer to cover Fitness Training Sessions.
Employment Status: Part Time
Wage Range: $35.00-$50.00

About these positions:
Excellent internal and external Customer Service skills is a top requirement
The ability to listen, cooperate, and provide honest, positive, and thoughtful communication with prompt responses
Dedication to the position by being on time, low absentee rate, completing tasks quickly, managing a busy schedule efficiently
Initiate resident orientations, set up card key access, Dakim and CyberCycle enrollments, etc.
Substitute for other instructors or trainers as necessary
Accommodate all residents and their physical/cognitive needs with great listening and understanding skills, offering modifications and solutions
Maintain HIPPA standards: resident records, filing systems and keep necessary attendance/participation records.
Involvement in all fitness related activities, challenges, Age of Champions, Health Fairs, Walks, Lessons, Active Aging Weeks, Holiday Events, and other activities/events as indicated by Supervisor.
Provide up-to-date approved National Certification for Fitness Training and Group Fitness Instructor, CPR/AED, work required documentation and trainings
The following duties are also required: maintaining the fitness center in organization, upkeep, daily facility, and equipment checks, monitor locker rooms, pool/spa area, putting green, and initiate any in housework orders. General office duties include completing professional records for billing, resident session notes, data entry, weekly updates, filing, copying, delivering marketing materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Maintain current licensure/certification/health screening as required for the position, such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, AFAA, IDEA, NCSA, AFTA. Degree or training in Physical Therapy, Exercise science or Kinesiology is a plus
Two years or more work experience as a fitness trainer and group fitness instructor and/or physical therapist.
Ability to provide top quality fitness classes and personal training to the active older adult population, age range 60-100 years of age.
Must be able to bend, stand, squat, reach overhead, lift at least 40 pounds, carry, balance, step up, perform lunges with ease.
Can keep up and manage a fast past, busy schedule in a professional manner
Valid driver's license. And able to commit to the commute
Ability to meet, or exceed, LCS hospitality and service standards.
Ability to physically perform for the duration of class while cueing, and coaching residents.
