Overview

The Fitness Manager will manage and develop the fitness department in an assigned gym, provide training and leadership for new and existing Assistant Fitness Managers, personal trainers, coaches, and GGX instructors, ensuring the fitness team is scheduled and equipped to deliver service to clients. He/she will work with all gym personnel to involve them in fitness education and sales. Responsible for overall revenue generation of Personal Training sales by increasing the number of full-time personal trainers on staff, active clients, session service and personal production. The Fitness Manager will role-model the company's values and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of personal trainers, coaches, and GGX instructors.

  • Support and manage the Assistant Fitness Manager.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification and CPR records of all personal training staff.

  • Respond to member complaints and suggestions.

  • Ensure that all fitness team members maintain knowledge of current Gold's Gym pricing and promotions.

  • Manage Group Fitness programs including coach hiring, training and development. This includes developing a robust schedule of classes, providing coach feedback, holding quarterly practices. Also, oversee the execution of administrative duties including: Monthly GGX Tracker Report, payroll submissions, substitute scheduling, class attendance monitoring, managing equipment inventory, member and instructor communication and certification management.

  • Ensure new members meet a fitness professional on their first visit.'

  • Conduct personal training and group sessions with clients, adhering to incentive agreement guidelines for fitness service limits.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of management and/or leadership experience.

  • At least 1 year of fitness industry experience.

  • Current personal training certification from an approved accredited institution.

  • Current CPR and AED certification.

  • Bachelor's degree in an exercise related field preferred.

  • Knowledge of current trends and techniques within personal training and health & fitness.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly.

  • Must be able to stand, bend, lift stoop, spot or walk repeatedly without any problems.

VIEW JOBS 1/24/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-23T00:00 Pricing and Costing Manager (Business Development) Global Public Health Rockville, MD * ID:1601-679 * Full-Time/Regular As a key member of the Global Public Health team, the Pricing and Costing Manager is responsible for leading the preparation of Cost Proposals, including all proposal budgets to a variety of institutional donors as well as foundations and corporations (USAID, CDC, WB, GFATM, Fleming Fund, UN Agencies, etc.). S/he also prepares all accompanying financial and required documentation in support of the Global Public Health's team proposals for global, regional and country programs. S/he is an integral member of the Partnerships and Growth team responsible for new business activities. Under the guidance of the Vice President, Partnerships and Growth (P&G), s/he builds and maintains strong relationships with donor and partner staff in collaboration with Regional and Technical Directors. Roles and Responsibilities * Responsible for determining optimal pricing and conducting price-to-win analysis ensuring competitive edge while meeting organizational targets. * Develop strong understanding of the division's program activities and related costs; codify costs per activity to ensure realism and consistency in costing * Leads costing activities for proposals submitted by GPH ranging in size and scope from smaller, straight-forward bids focused on providing technical assistance to multi-year, multi-million dollar bids. * Develops and maintains cost/pricing models and narratives, schedules, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with donor requirements * Determines anticipated direct costs (labor, material requirements, equipment costs, Other Direct Costs), and indirect rates * Works with country Finance staff to accurately cost programs and develops appropriate training, including but not limited to one-on-one mentoring to increase staff capabilities and grow the pool of qualified staff who can support cost and pricing activities within the Division. * Collects cost and pricing data including in-country data and works with Human Resource staff to ensure appropriate salary by country. * Collaborates with program, technical and M&E staff to ensure all activities are included and priced correctly; in line with both internal policies and expectations as well as donor requirements * Leads on cost discussions with Consortium partners, ensuring projects are competitively costed and compliant with donor requirements * Reviews draft and final award documents for consistency of costing data with cost proposals and provides analyses and documentation to project implementation team. * Works closely with technical, program and finance staff to assess financial implications of teaming, staffing and procurement decisions for bids and post-award implementation. Basic Qualifications * BA in a relevant field (business, accounting, finance) and 5+ years of donor funded experience developing budgets for winning proposals to USAID, Global Fund, DFID, CDC, Gates and/or other donors Preferred Qualifications * Demonstrated knowledge of donor-funded programming (required) , including global public health and pharmaceutical management (preferred) * Significant experience developing pricing strategy and budgets for USAID, CDC, Global Fund and other donors * Knowledge of USG procurement regulations and of FAR/AIDAR * Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely * Significant experience with Excel * Strong interpersonal and a demonstrated ability to facilitate team interactions. * Excellent writing skills, attention to detail and self-driven. * Fluency in English * Willingness to travel internationally as needed. * Available on short notice to support requests during unusual hours, especially early or late in the day during the business week.
