Fitness Center Attendant

New London Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Fitness Center Attendant. The Fitness Center Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the community fitness center, providing excellent customer service to patrons, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patrons in a friendly and professional manner.

• Monitor access to the fitness center and ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.

• Provide tours of the fitness center to potential members and answer inquiries about membership and services.

• Assist patrons with equipment setup and usage.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness center, including equipment, floors, and common areas.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on fitness equipment and report any issues to management.

• Enforce safety protocols and respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents.

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure equipment functionality and safety.

• Keep accurate records of daily attendance, equipment maintenance, and incident reports.

• Assist in organizing and promoting fitness center events, programs, and classes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in customer service or a fitness-related environment preferred.

• Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercise techniques.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• CPR and first aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
