Description of duties: Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of wildlife management programs on the Big Cypress Wildlife Management Area in coordination with the National Park Service.
Prepares weekly and annual harvest reports. Manages and monitors public use on the area. Conducts population surveys of game, non-game, threatened and endangered wildlife species.
Maintains equipment in a safe and usable condition. Conducts various habitat management practices including prescribed burning and treatment of invasive plants. Resolves human-bear conflicts. Regularly works independently in the field.
