ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy is managed by the Dean and an actively engaged administrative leadership team. The mission of the college is to Transform Health through educating students to be outstanding and successful practitioners and leaders in the profession; through leading in discovery and innovation of education and practice in pharmacy; and through delivering the highest quality care in diverse, interprofessional clinical and community settings.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Business and Finance in the Taneja College of Pharmacy. This is a professional position that will provide financial analysis and projections, budget management, and fiscal resource management for the Office of Research and Business in the college.

The college has multiple grant, auxiliary, E&G, and foundation funding sources. The primary purpose of this position is to analyze financial and accounting data to keep leadership and faculty investigators informed on the financial status of the college.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fund/Chartfield Reconciliations Monthly chartfield/account ledgers reconciliations from the various University, Direct Support Organizations, and auxiliary financial systems to the source documents. Maintain supporting documents and prepare financial statements/reports for stakeholders, keeping record of revenue and expenses, invoicing.

Research administration record keeping of revenue and expenses, monthly reconciliations of the charges using USF financial systems and funding documents; maintaining supporting documents, preparing financial reports, management of funding from pre-award to post-award to closeout. Assists faculty/PIs with budget development and other academic entrepreneurial related fiscal activities.

Serves as a liaison with other USF departments and/or external agencies by problem solving, resolving budget issues, and providing appropriate information for various financial, budget, or grant related inquiries; provides support in the areas of business, finance, research, and data management within the Office of Research and Business.

Prepares and develops financial reports, statements to consolidate financial activities which are utilized by stakeholders; prepares budget control systems, and works with leadership on financial planning and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; resolves any discrepancies and review and adjust budgets as needed.

Processing purchasing requests Reviewing PO and pcard requests to ensure compliance with USF policies and procedures, creating requisitions, tracking PO, receiving and processing invoices, closing out POs. Reviewing pcard charges and reconciling to appropriate chartfields. Reviewing and processing check request for Foundation and UMSA as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or other field directly related to the position's specific responsibilities and 0-2 years of fiscal related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree in no specific required field and two years of fiscal related work experience; or four years fiscal related work experience.

PREFERRED:

Experience in a higher education setting; experience with research administration.
