The salary listed for this position does not include the 3% general wage increase effective July 1, 2024.

This position is assigned to our Olympia location; however, hybrid/teleworking is an option with supervisor approval.

What you will be doing:

In this position, you will provide fiscal, and administrative support primarily to the Deputy Director, agency programs and individuals as assigned.  You will be part of the Operations Team and will participate in planning and special projects as needed  You will report to and will be supervised by the Deputy Director, who prioritizes the position's work assignments.

Some of what you will enjoy doing includes:

  • Serve as the agency administrator for accounts payable and receivable

  • Processing of agency account payables and receivables

  • Support fiscal year and biennial close activities

  • Collect and reconcile timesheets

  • Collect and distribute hourly staff timesheets and CTR reports to SAFS

  • Coordinate year-end process related to agency payables and receivables, including communicate deadlines to staff and contractors; analyze fiscal data to establish year-end accruals; and research related to general ledger activity.

  • Coordinate the agency Field Order Process

  • Serve as the Purchase Card Custodian for the agency

  • Review all agency travel reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements

REQUIRED:

A Bachelor's degree in a Finance related field (this MUST include 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing or budgeting);

AND

  • One (1) year of relevant professional experience

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook

OR

Any combination of education and relevant professional experience totaling five (5) years.

AND

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook

NOTE: Any level MUST include 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing or budgeting

NOTE:  A Master's degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience.
