PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To facilitate the efficient flow of work throughout the Distribution Center, and to maintain the highest possible customer service standards through interaction with internal and external business customers.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1.Coordinates Customer Pickup orders from the time the notification is received via the fax machine until the customer arrives to pick up the merchandise.
2.Coordinate wave picking process including releasing work via the system or handing out pick labels as needed.
3.Researches missing cartons from pick waves to ensure oldest waves are consistently being closed out fully within seven days.
4.Maintain routes in the Warehouse Management System and sets up correct trailer numbers at each door.
5.Coordinates loading process ensuring loaders are getting the required deliveries completely loaded.
6.Closes out routes printing bills of lading for each stop on the delivery and preparing the driver's packet to be taken to the guards.
7.Follows all standard operating procedures and adheres to all stated productivity requirements while performing the job.
8.Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
9.Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
10. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
11. Provides support for, and/or backup coverage for Inbound Warehouse Clerk, as apparent or assigned.
12. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School education or equivalent.

  • At least 6 months of related experience in a distribution center environment.

  • Ability to work a varied schedule based upon business needs.

  • Previous working knowledge of warehouse management system functionality (Manhattan Associates' WMi preferred)

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to accurately read and match numbers.

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate to personnel.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.

  • Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Certification to operate all power equipment as required.

  • PC experience. Knowledge of the AS400 and WMS systems.

  • Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment's 12 Core Competencies.

This work includes the preparation of field notes, drawings, specifications and design estimates. Overview of Duties * Design and prepare independently, construction orders related to overhead, underground facilities associated with electric distribution systems applying prescribed standards, guides, specifications and procedures. * Contact landowners and/or their agents, to negotiate agreement of Rights of Way (easements) for proposed utility equipment. Obtain necessary contact and tax map information for easement processing. * Apply the client's standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures or appropriate industry standards in preparing layouts of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities. * Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, bill of materials and any other required documents and reports for construction and maintenance projects. * Assist in the performance of load studies on distribution transformers, investigate circuit overloads and voltage complaints to determine necessary corrective action. * Prepare and submit required reports and correspondence. * Utilize client and company information systems to track and update design activities. * Shall have a working knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters in electric distribution design. * Assist in the gathering of information from field notes. * Perform tasks such as digitizing, copying and scanning of drawings, prints and maps. * Assist in the acquisition of field data. * Achieve weekly billable goal as defined by the project guidelines. * Perform other duties as assigned.
