Job Summary

  • Operate and maintain boilers, on scheduled rotational shifts

  • Operate and maintain boilers, incinerators and associated equipment.

  • Make periodic tours of assigned equipment and systems within Compound, recording required data.

  • Monitor water treatment program for Central Plant.

  • Monitor and execute the Lock-out/Tag-out program.

  • Report all faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences to the Lead and Chief Engineer.

  • Respond to emergency situations on assigned equipment, performing all tasks necessary for the protection of property and personnel.

  • Assume all responsibilities of HVAC Grade I as assigned by Chief Engineer on maintenance days.

  • Perform other job related work as required.

  • Monitor and operate assigned control systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • US Citizen

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

  • High school, technical school, or trade school graduate or equivalent apprenticeship

  • Four (4) years' experience in central plant operations

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems.

  • Must have a First Class Maryland Engineer's License, 3rd class DC or comparable

  • Must possess universal CFC certification.

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions

  • Be capable, as required, to stand watches for any person under their supervision, and to work with the tools of the operating engineer's trade.

  • Basic knowledge of blueprints

  • Thorough knowledge of piping systems

  • Experience and ability to operate chiller systems

  • A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Top Secret Government Clearance

  • Ability to write correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Have basic computer skills.

  • Formalized training in stationery engineering or related crafts.

Essential Job Functions:[1] * Working with HR and all departmental managers in developing their short/long range planning for personnel, space and equipment. * Purchasing or leasing small office equipment such as copiers, fax machines and the like. * Manage recurring and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of the facilities. * Determine the needs for and manage the ongoing provision of activities and services for building maintenance, construction management and general office services. * Directing the facilities requirements of the organization including liaison with architectural firm(s), contractor(s), furniture supplier(s), etc. * Manage and oversee building management relationship. * Responsible for managing the day to day facilities and office operations. * Managing the company's ongoing relationships with administration and facilities vendors while continuing to search for new methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs of administrative services. * Responsible for the management of all facilities and office administrative expenses. * Managing the mail, supply, delivery and reception areas of the organization. * Manage office suite security and procedures. * Primary point of contact for any building and office related matters 24/7 (e.g. building/suite security, equipment malfunctions, supplemental HVAC, etc.). * Development and maintenance of a business continuity plan for all facilities and administrative functions. * Manage all office catering. * Development and enforcement of internal operational procedures. * Manage offsite storage for company. * Communications of all office related matters to ProFunds staff. * Provide a high quality service to our employees (the quality of service provided by the Facilities Group should enable all employees to perform their job effectively). * Managing a series of special projects as a part of ProFunds initiatives. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
