The First Line Production Supervisor will lead all production and operating processes by being responsible for the operations agenda and leading an engaged team that will execute business deliverables. In this role, you will ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale objectives are met.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute routine operations of assigned area, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety and environmental compliance.

  • Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.

  • Partner with production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timeline.

  • Adhere to production budget for a department , process, or shift and executes purchase orders and ensures timely payment of invoices

  • Develop operational plans and monitors routine operations for all production processes for multiple departments, processes and shifts.

  • Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles for assigned facilities or region.

  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum one year of directly related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of supervisory experience

  • Lean Six Sigma experience and/or certification

  • SAP experience

  • Microsoft Office 365 experience

  • Experience working with heights (20ft - 150ft)

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.</li><li>Supervises all shipping, receiving, and packing activities performed by plant staff.</li><li>Coordinate with team leader in attainting the efficiency of the daily production schedule. Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area</li><li>Review and submit daily production report on time.</li><li>Report to management relevant activities happening during the shift.</li><li>Maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.</li><li>Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes all orders to be picked and/or shipping during shift.</li><li>Report equipment maintenance in breakdown situations.</li><li>Coordinates with the production control manager to manage personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, time card approval, daily and weekly overtime, and training.</li><li>Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence. Ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by crew.</li><li>Assists with inventory activities.</li><li>Oversees the sanitation activities performed in the warehouse.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by Plant manager and/or Production Control Manager.</li></ul><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervises warehouse staff (Team leader/Fork Lift Drivers/Line Operators)</li><li><strong>PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: </li><li>Calculate figures and amounts. </li><li>Stand for long periods of time.</li><li>Lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance.</li><li>Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously U</li><li>Understand and respond to a diverse population.</li><li>Ability to operate a sit-down forklift (No certification needed.
