We are seeking a firmware engineer who is a Video over IP specialist to troubleshoot Avionics Display Unit screen tearing and gray box issues.REQUIRED SKILLS:
This position may require exposure to software, source code or technology that is subject to US export control laws and regulations (i.e., International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations). We are seeking a firmware engineer who is a Video over IP specialist to troubleshoot Avionics Display Unit screen tearing and gray box issues.REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5+ years experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog
- Functional knowledge of LCD display operation and basic video processing:
- Video Memory Systems
- Image rotation
- Video scaling
- Color space conversion
- Understanding of ITU-T H.264 / Advanced Video Coding (AVC)
- Functional knowledge of H.264 algorithm, especially H.264 decoding
- Functional knowledge of H.264 using RTP over IP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
- Good Positive interpersonal skills
- Functional knowledge of MPEG-4
- Functional knowledge of H.264 IP packet decapsulation into corresponding NALUs for Decoder
- Functional knowledge of RFC 3550 RTP Protocol
- Functional knowledge of RFC 6184 RTP Payload
- Experience with Xilinx (AMD) Vivado tool
- Experience with FPGA simulation tools (Questa)
- Experience with FFmpeg / FFplay / FFprobe
- Experience with Scripting Languages: shell scripts, PERL, Python, TCL
