Design, develop and Debug low level software (Firmware and BIOS) for AMD APU/GPU products.


BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Automatic, Mathematics, Computer Science or an equivalent.

Deep Knowledge of C/C++ programming.

Knowledge of PC architecture.

Knowledge of x86 assembler language and x86/x64 CPU instructions is a plus.

Knowledge of scripting language such as Perl/Python is a plus.

Knowledge of Windows and Linux kernel as a plus.

Have project experience during university education.

Strong passion in achievement and career development.

A self-motivated team player.

We are looking for an embedded software engineer in L1 physical layer development for advanced 5G modem prototypes. Some of the job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Designing, coding, debugging advanced physical layer firmware of leading edge prototypes for 5G wireless modems. * Work with standards technology development and system engineering to translate 5G communication designs and algorithms into functional pre-standards (3GPP), pre-product (LTE-A, 5G) prototype designs using state of the art platforms, implementing advanced Tx/Rx transceiver chains in the baseband modem. * Apply advanced problem solving of complex, modem subsystems involving Physical layer and PHY to MAC implementation. * Assess risks and identify issues and solutions to timely and efficiently achieve program goals and project objectives. * Drive resolution of technical issues with cross-functional teams. * Escalate issues in an appropriate and timely manner. Preferred Qualifications: * Software debugging skills for embedded devices using trace and debug tools (Lauterbach). * Experience with embedded environments (VxWorks, ThreadX, embedded Linux) and processors (Intel Architecture, ARM or NIOS). * Experience with software development and configuration management tools (Eclipse, Git, SVN, Gerrit, Jira).
