Position Summary

  • Recognize materials used to construct, fabricate, modify and secure steel bars and mesh using various fasteners.

  • Pull, push, or pry iron and steel equipment into place.

  • Assist Journeyman with cutting, bending, and welding iron and steel pieces using metal shears and welding equipment.

  • Prepares and aligns structures by positioning steel girders, bolting or other permanent set up.

  • Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using saws, chisels, and planes.

  • Erects framework for structures.

  • Assists with scaffolding and other assembling structures above ground level.

  • Works within precise standards of accuracy.

  • Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects with support of direct supervision

  • Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.

Essential Duties

  • Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.

  • Perform work overhead, at heights, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.

  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.

  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.

  • Lift and carry objects of varying weights.

  • Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.

  • Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities of site, tools and equipment.

  • Ability to verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors, and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.

  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Significant travel may be required.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Working Conditions

Conditions may include working in shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, including rooftops and other elevated positions as well as, confined spaces. Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate.

As part of the DxN program, this role will be responsible for the establishment of the Unified Digital Strategy and Digital Workforce Structure and Strategy approach that will need to be formed and executed as these will guide all DxN program team activities. Serving as a single point of contact, facilitate and socialize alignment of Digital Transformation and Innovation recommendations with stakeholders and leaders, oversee the project planning and delivery around multiple tracks of work across several businesses and IT teams and functions. This role will be responsible for communicating with Line of Business and Regional Leaders, Steering Committee members, and program sponsors. Program Manager is primarily responsible for determining program budgets, managing overall pursuits and projects, leading departmental or cross-functional teams to meet required scope, plans are appropriately managed and governed, effective challenge over project delivery, and timely escalation of risks and issues by applying deep expertise in program/project management principles Responsibilities: * The Senior Program Manager is responsible for driving full end-to-end delivery of multi complex multi-phased technology projects and is accountable for the overall project schedule, scope, budget, and quality of delivery. * Analyzes, integrates, and manages complex program/project plans ensuring they are established to meet required scope, plans are appropriately governed, resource forecasts are achieved, effective challenge over project delivery, weekly status reporting, timely escalation of risks and issues, and appropriate management of dependencies. * Convey a clear vision of project goals and objectives to the key stakeholders, setting expectations and holding teams accountable to those expectations to reach desired outcomes. * Drives the development of new or updated procedures and policies; gaining cross-functional support for objectives and priorities; translating business strategy into actionable business requirements; obtaining and distributing resources; setting standards and measuring progress; guiding performance and developing contingency plans accordingly; removing obstacles that impact performance; solving highly complex issues; and influencing the completion of project tasks by others. * Manages project execution by overseeing data collection process for project review and evaluation, using data-driven methods to quantify decision making. * Ability to build strong collaborative, cross-functional relationships; communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; adapting to competing demands and new responsibilities; providing feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership; influencing, mentoring, and coaching team members; fostering open dialogue amongst team members; evaluating and responding to the strengths and weaknesses of self and team members; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. * Must be able to balance stakeholder needs, and effectively negotiates tradeoffs between scope, schedule, and budget.
