Pay Range: $27.00 - 42.50 per hour

Job Summary: Special Hazards technicians are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service with tasks related to the installation, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installing, inspecting and servicing fire suppression systems.

• Reading blueprints, prepping, and installing systems.

• Providing emergency service to investigate and diagnose alarm and trouble conditions to determine cause and take corrective action in order to bring system back to a normal working condition.

• Maintaining accurate and precise documentation of all work orders daily, including thorough. and timely inspection reports with signature from customer submitted to inspection manager.

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment with strict attention to all safety requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Licensure & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NICET level II or above is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' working in fire suppression and/or Special Hazards required.

Knowledge, Skills, Capabilities:

• Knowledge/experience installing and servicing voice, data, and security systems in a commercial and residential environment.

• Possess related licensing/certification or be able to become licensed/certified.

• Must be comfortable working from a lift and ladders.

• Working knowledge of computer networking, IP addresses etc.

• Ideally will already own basic low voltage tools to include punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, etc.

• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate company vehicle or use personal vehicle to work (vehicle allowance and gas card for use of personal vehicle).

• Must display professional appearance and demeanor along with outstanding customer service and communication skills.

• Must be a self-motivated worker with the demonstrated ability to contribute to team operations, performing all work in an efficient, organized and cost-effective manner.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work for up to 8 hours per day:

• On Ladders

• At heights

• Use hand an power tools

• Operate specialized equipment, aerial lifts, etc.

• On feet, climbing, bending over, picking up, overhead, etc.
