You will be learning how to use the HydraCAD programs that are used for fire sprinkler design (HydraCAD, HydraList and HydraCalc)

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

• Perform on-site surveys of existing fire sprinkler systems with accuracy
• Draw systems in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible
• Learn and Run hydraulic calculations (HydraCalc)
• Learn and Run then check stock listing for fabrication of new fire sprinkler systems (HydraList)
• Request plans and information from General Contractors and Architects
• Build product data submittals

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 to 2 years design experience using AutoCAD is required (see below)
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required
• Must be able to follow directions
• Must be comfortable asking questions
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints
• Prior experience using HydraCalc is a plus

Preferred background but not required:

• Previous construction experience is a plus
• A degree in Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design would be an acceptable alternative to on-the-job design experience

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
