What you will do

Perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex.

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily call activity and program system products, including networking and programming

How you will do it

Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service. Performs inspections of burglar and fire alarm systems based on contract requirements.

VIEW JOBS 8/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-13T00:00 * Based out of Mammoth Mountain CA* What you will do This skilled position involves the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels. As part of this skill set, you will work to identify and resolves complex troubleshooting issues and will be expected to provide guidance to apprentices and more junior level technicians as needed. You are likely to operate in or around one or more of the following industries: Heavy Industrial (power, marine, mining, oil and gas, forestry), Large hospitals and correctional facilities, Large scale transportation facilities, Large scale manufacturing facilities, and large office/residential complexes. How you will do it Job completion will be accomplished through basic and advanced trouble shooting of complex fire alarm and/or other LSS systems. Troubleshooting of advanced systems will be up to and including nurse calls and include system reprogramming to add, move, and/or change existing systems. The Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with an outstanding customer service orientation. Documentation for all task related activities will be completed and submitted on time. Accordingly, the candidate will need to be organized and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks. What we look for Required * 5 years' documented experience with fire alarm, access control, CCTV and card access. * NICET certification * Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug test. * Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. * Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals. * Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer. * Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. * Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation. * Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. * Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. * Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. * Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements. * Ability to adhere to any client-specific requirements. * Ability to maintain an accurate truck inventory * Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office Preferred * Electronics degree or military equivalent * F-Card needed or able to obtain one within first 90 days What else you'll get Supportive team environment, flexible schedule, mobile device, laptop, company vehicle.
