Our mission is to improve the good health of the community through high quality compassionate patient care, innovation, education and discovery. # POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Performs and accomplishes minor maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection on fire alarm and sprinkler systems within University Health System (the Health System) buildings and facilities. Helps different trades bypass and acknowledge fire alarm panels, annunciators along with maintaining and cleaning fire alarm devices. Ensures safe, competent, efficient, and timely performance of assigned tasks. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. 5 years of experience in fire alarm and sprinkler systems in health care experience is preferred. Reading, interpreting and applying plans, specifications, blueprints, schematics, codes and work orders. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION NICET Certifications preferred. Must possess a Electrical Maintenance Technician (EMT) License or obtain same within 3 months of employment. A valid Texas State driver#s license #Class C# and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and insurable by the Health System. #cbar
