What you will do
The basic function of this position is to professionally provide a complicated level of technical support and the highest level of customer service while servicing, inspecting and installing fire alarms.
How you will do it
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specifications used in installation activities.
Must be able to test and certify electronics systems including fire alarm, security, CCTV and access control.
Provide detailed feedback to management concerning customer issues.
Exhibit effective customer service skills, by consistently communicating with the district support team, district management, and our customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.
Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure all duties are performed in a safe and professional manner.
What we look for
Required
NICET Level II or higher Fire Alarm certification REQUIRED
Proficient in use and application of personal computers including Microsoft Office Suite.
May be required to work overtime, including weekends and holidays to respond to emergency situations.
Must be able to work alternative shifts or work nights.
Working knowledge of test equipment, to include multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices.
Must obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and local codes.
Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements. Must conform with all Fleet standards.
Must be able to lift equipment and tools up to 40 lbs. and be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Must have excellent communications skills using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
Must be able to effectively communicate with employees, employers, customers and authorities having jurisdiction in English both written and verbally.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug and background check.
