What you will do:
The Business Support Specialist is responsible for implementing and executing the business support standardized processes that align with company policies and government compliance. This position will report to the Fire Protection; Total Service Manager.
This is a Hybrid position. We would like you to come into the Allentown, PA location at least 3-4 days per week.
How you will do it:
Assist with weekly processing of payroll
Set up prevailing wage rates
Maintain staff vacation calendar(s) in current and accurate status
Point of contact for district location responsible licensing, and other local district tasks
Process I9 verification for new employees
Code, process and approve invoices through the AP system
Assist with vendor setups and check requests
Act a district contact for Fleet management
Act as district records retention champion
Responsible for district office supply ordering
Facilitates certified payroll reporting
Process payroll corrections as needed
Request Certificates of Insurance
Order Uniforms as needed for the district office technician staff
Work Accrued Receipts
Back up for Business Support functions in Area as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by entire management team such as operations, install, sales and service.
What we look for:
Required
High School Diploma
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be detailed oriented and organized Proficient in MS Excel, and Word Must have the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
Ability to interface with all levels of management
Ability to prioritize work volumes with limited supervision
Preferred
Experience working for a large company
2-year degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven success using MS PowerPoint presentation and Access Database software
