The Installation Technician performs the installation of fire, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, infant abduction and wandering patient systems at customer or project sites assuring that Tech Electronics' standards of quality are maintained during the system installation. Ensures that Tech Electronics' systems are installed per plans and specifications and/or Tech Electronics' scope of work definition and per local and national codes.
Preferred Candidate Will Possess
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to change communication style to fit the situation and audience
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
Associate's Degree in Computer Networking or Electronics, or equivalent industry work experience.
Minimum of three years of industry experience
Experience in field servicing and troubleshooting computer networks is required
Lenel or NICET Certifications a plus
Daily use of AC/DC theory and working knowledge of the NEC and IBC National Building Codes is highly preferred
Additional experience on Fire Alarms, Integrated Card Access Systems and IP Video Surveillance Systems a plus
