Fire Alarm Technician
The Fire Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, and/or the installation of alarm systems, or other applicable fire safety equipment and systems to include emergency lights all in accordance with applicable fire codes.
Provides assistance in performing assigned tasks for fire life safety system services
Performs technical support including testing on fire detection systems and field devices in accordance with all national and local standards.
Maintains complete and accurate documentation of tests performed.
Assists in responding to service calls (emergency and on-site).
Provides needed assistance with troubleshooting techniques and performs minor repairs as directed.
Assists and observes installing new fire life safety systems and wiring techniques.
Performs minor repairs as directed.

Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Strong customer service skills
Ability to speak and write English. Fluent in Spanish preferred.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Nicet certification preferred
Basic knowledge of AD/DC circuitry, associated low voltage systems preferred
Possess High school diploma or equivalent. Electrical experience recommended, Alarm experience preferred. Must hold a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. Pass extensive background checks and health screenings to be completed upon hire and throughout employees employment.
Frequent walking, standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and driving. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overhead. Ability to work varied hours including on call. Able to work occasional nights, early mornings, and weekend shift when required.
