We are seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to join our federal team based at Fort Liberty, NC (formerly known as Fort Bragg. Military friendly, but experience not required). Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturersâ product lines

Pay Range: $15.00 - $31.00 per hour based on experience Â
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total)
Travel: None, all work is based at this location.

As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will:
Â
Conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturersâ product lines
Complete service acknowledgements through communication devices such as I-phone, computers, and/or hard copy
Follows and maintain a structured inspection schedule
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Experience working with low voltage electrical systems. Experience working with Fire and/or life safety systems preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals
Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
Basic computer skills
The ability to perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance to support this site required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)

Preferred Qualifications
Â
NICET certification; level II or III preferred
Experience with commercial fire alarm or fire suppression systems
Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent education
