Fire Alarm Estimator-Project Manager

Fire Alarm Estimator/Project Manager- About- We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Estimator/Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of fire alarm projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee installation and service procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Fire Alarm Estimator/Project Manager must be well-versed in fire alarm codes and equipment and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers, architects and employees to determine the specifications of the project Negotiate contracts with customers and external vendors to reach profitable agreements Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations Plan all installation/service operations to ensure deadlines will be met Price and perform proposals for failed inspections and follow up service work Acquire equipment and material Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues Skills Self motivated and organizational skills a must Proven experience in fire alarm industry In-depth understanding of fire alarm codes and material Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards Good knowledge of MS Office Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills A team player with leadership abilities Job Type: Full-time Salary: $1,200.00 - $1,350.00 weekly Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: 5 years in the fire protection industry Project management: 1 year (Preferred) Fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, security, cctv, sprinkler systems and extinguishers.
