Job Description: :

Finishes or refinishes damaged, worn, or used furniture or new high grade aircraft furniture to specified color or finish by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Disassembles article, masks areas adjacent to areas being finished, or removes accessories such as knobs and hinges to prepare article for finishing

Removes old finish from surfaces

Removes excess solvent

Applies filler to surface to fill nicks, depressions, holes, and cracks

Smoothes and sands surface for finishing

Selects finish ingredients and mixes them by hand or machine to obtain specified color or shade or to match existing finish per drawing or specifications

Prepares and sprays coatings on work piece

Sand, polish and buff finished surfaces

Other duties may be assigned

Basic Qualifications

Ability to read all types of aircraft drawings. Applicant must display attention to detail and have strong technical skills with the ability to problem solve.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Ability to pass a drug and criminal background check Mechanical dexterity

Other Qualifications Must be a US Persons as defined by the US Department of State

In addition to the qualifications for a Quality Control Inspector I, the Inspector II position requires the ability to conduct First Article Inspections on all detail parts. A High School diploma is required, along with three years related experience and/or training or a combination of both Basic Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Ability to interpret engineering blue prints, source control drawings, and OEM part verification.
