THE JOB:

As a Fine Dining Cook at Morimoto, you will be responsible for skillfully applying Japanese culinary techniques. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, along with your welcoming smile and exceptional service, will set the stage for a memorable guest experience. By understanding each guest's unique story and needs, you will take ownership of their experience, creating WOW memories that will stay with them long after their visit.

STARTING RATE: $24.885 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of Japanese food products and skillfully apply traditional culinary techniques.

• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment specific to Japanese cuisine.

• Restock kitchen supplies and essential ingredients required for service.

• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.

• Maintain comprehensive menu knowledge and ensure meticulous plate presentation.

• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in the execution of service.

• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding, and preparation of essential Japanese sauces, stocks, and soups.

• Work as a team, assisting with all guest needs and inquiries.

• Preform other job-duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

• High school diploma, or equivalent.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience as a cook in fine dining establishment is preferred.

• Possess proficient knife skills, ensuring precision and efficiency in food preparation.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Japanese culinary techniques.
