The FA3D Department comprises five programs: Ceramics, Fibers, Glass, Jewelry & Metalsmithing, and Sculpture. The department seeks a dedicated faculty member to complement the existing faculty in creating an inclusive and diverse community of learners and makers in our BFA program.

We seek faculty to collaborate with us in educating students in deep learning within craft, fine art, and design. We prioritize the importance of measurable social justice changes within academia. Our department aspires to provide all students with a framework within which to investigate issues of changing technologies and values, in keeping with our core mission around equity, inclusion, and social justice.

The department supports on average 140 majors annually, and provides elective courses for all of the college's ~1700 students from first year to graduate students. The curriculum in the department includes contemporary practices spanning fine art-craft-design. Extraordinary facilities in all media allow for in-depth studio experiences for our students. We seek faculty who teach in and/or across media and content, particularly in the realms of the diverse and inclusive contemporary fine art-craft-design fields.

We foster inclusive environments and invite candidates who can contribute to departmental goals.
